Brain Tumours

Brain tumours treatment services

Brain tumours are growths that occur on brains, inside the cranium. They are largely undetected till they reach a size that presses against nerves or other anatomical structures to start causing symptoms. In modern days there are plenty of treatment services available.

What are the symptoms?

The primary symptoms of a brain tumour are headache, nausea, vomiting, throbbing sensation to a side of the head or whole, vision changes, or even speech changes. In some cases there maybe difficulties in walking or other motor skills. Any cognitive changes are an area of concern and should promptly be reported to the medical service provider. In some cases convulsions unconsciousness, forgetfulness and altered behaviour may occur.

How do we deal with these conditions?

Our team is composed of cross domain experts who pick each case and evaluate deeply. Detailed diagnostics are carried out to ascertain the exact site and extent of the tumour. Such tests include CT scans, MRIs and other imaging techniques. Taking a look at the results, the team decides on the next course of action.

For tiny growths, sometimes no aggressive treatment is required. In other cases a medicinal approach is adopted to try and shrink the tumour. However in most cases a surgical evaluation is needed – and our team has the right mix of neuro-surgeons who are experts in brain and cerebro-spinal care. They will operate the tumour and send for further tissue biopsies to find the exact nature. Many tumours of the brain are benign – meaning simple post-operative care will be enough. However in some cases, malignancies are detected and they will be dealt with through a combination of advanced medical care Like chemo radiotherapy and counselling.

For all outcomes, we are equipped with end to end care services for brain tumours and all related conditions. This is possible through a combination of medical expertise, infrastructure and knowledge.
