Brain stroke treatment services

Brain strokes are medically termed as Cerebrovascular Accidents. The critical conditions that happen to the brain when the blood supply to a part is cut off by a clot or internal bleeding. The most often occurrence is an arterial clot travelling up from the heart and lodging to stop the blood supply. In some other cases a ruptured vessel can also prevent adequate blood supply. In absence of fresh blood the brain tissues begin to degenerate rapidly.

What we do?

We are experts who swing into action the moment a stroke patient is brought to us. Our first line of action is to establish blood supply by administering drugs that are targeted for the purpose. While the patient is clinically supported, the clot is attempted to be disengaged so that regular blood circulation can be ensured. In case of serious life threatening condition, we are also equipped to make surgical intervention to remove the clot and/ or damaged tissue.

What next?

Once the blood supply is restored, we have teams to take steps that prevent further complications. This is done by using anti-coagulants, cholesterol detailed blood work and deeper diagnostics that our medics undertake to assess the root cause of the attack. Once the trigger is known, preventive actions are discussed and initiated by our team. They could be something simple like lifestyle and diet changes to keeping the blood pressure and cholesterol under close tab. In more complicated cases we suggest other medical therapies to prevent a further episode.

Who is at risk?

Mostly people who are obese, have uncontrolled hypertension and lead high stress lives are stroke prone.
